Coughs are one of the most common medical complaints. Help us learn more about them.

If you have a cough, we would love to hear it.

What is Cough Collector?

The aim of the Cough Collector study is to learn about many different kinds of coughs and the properties that distinguish one type of cough from another. To reach this goal, we need to build a diverse set of cough audio samples.

We wrote Cough Collector to give volunteers an easy way to submit samples of their own. Whether you are sick or healthy, your cough recordings can help our team of public health researchers learn more about infectious diseases and other illnesses.

How do I participate?

Upload cough recordings when and where it's convenient for you. There are no recording schedules, mandated check-ins, or on-site visits in our study protocol.

If you join the study but decide later that you no longer want to be involved, you can easily withdraw remotely at any time for any reason by uninstalling the app.

There is no compensation for participants at this time.

For more information about study procedures, please read the consent letter.
